Andhra Pradesh Launches Covid-19 Testing Kits

With these kits, a test report will be generated within 50 minutes, and each kit can be used to perform 20 tests a day.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy launched new Covid-19 rapid testing kits being manufactured by the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AAMTZ).

The government has made 1,000 rapid Covid-19 test kits available to screen for the virus in the state.

With these kits, a test report will be generated within 50 minutes, and each kit can be used to perform 20 tests a day.

Reddy also presided over a review meeting at his camp office in Tadepalli on Wednesday to take stock of the government's measures to curb the coronavirus pandemic. Ministers Alla Nani and Mekapati Goutham Reddy, Chief Secretary Neelam Sawhney and DGP Gautam Sawang attended the meeting.

Reddy instructed the officials to personally monitor the situation and ensure that the people of the state did not face any shortage of essential items. He also ordered the officials to keep stock of medical kits and important medicines in all the quarantine and isolation centres across the state.
