The State's growth in 2014-15 at constant prices was 8.39%, and the dream of double-digit growth has thus been realized in the second year of the residuary State.
The West Godavari, Nellore, Chittoor and Srikakulam districts performed well.
Inspired by the success achieved during 2015-16 and keeping in view the resources of the State, Chief Secretary S P Tucker, at the inaugural of the two-day Collectors' conference at Vijayawada, said the State was aiming for 15% growth in 2016-17, while focusing on economic development and social sector development, so that the growth is inclusive.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Deputy Chief Minister K E Krishna Murthy were also present at the occasion.
