Ananthagiri Eco Park Opens, Set To Boost Tourism
Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, inaugurating the park, said that Ananthagiri's beauty and proximity to Hyderabad made it a prime tourism destination.

Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar today inaugurated the Ananthagiri Eco Urban Park in Vikarabad, and spoke about the park's potential as a major eco-tourism hub near Hyderabad.
The event was attended by Municipal Chairperson Gaddam Ananya, PCCF Dr Suvarna, Forest Development Corporation MD Sunitha Bhagavat, CCF (Charminar Circle) Priyanka Varghese, and other officials.
Addressing the gathering, the Speaker said that Ananthagiri's scenic landscape and proximity to Hyderabad positioned it as a prime destination for eco-tourism. He emphasized that such initiatives would generate employment for the local youth, and called for the development of additional cottages.
The Speaker also visited the origin point of the Musi river and launched beautification works, and directed further development in the basin area.
The park officials said that the forest region was spread across about 3,600 acres, and featured grasslands, rocky terrain, medicinal plants and dense greenery. New attractions include gazebos, a watchtower, and the Chatri Sunrise View Point, offering panoramic views of forests, lakes and villages. Four newly built cottages have also been opened for visitors, with plans to expand amenities in the future.
The officials also said that adventure facilities including zip lining and zip cycling would soon commence.
