ACB sleuths have found huge assets with the ASP of Siddipet Govindu Narasimha Reddy disproportionate to his known sources of income.
During the searches carried out for two days on Wednesday and Thursday at the office and residences of the accused and his family members and suspected benamis in Siddipet, Hyderabad, Mahbubnagar, Zaheerabad Shadnagar, Ayyavaripalle and other places, the ACB officials found 1.5 kg of gold ornaments, Rs 5.33 lakh in cash, a bank balance of Rs 6.37 lakh, a villa at Golconda, and 14 house plots at Shankarpalli and Gollapally in Ranga Reddy district and in Zaheerabad.
They also found that the accused had bought 20 acres of agricultural land in Siddipet and Mahbubnagar districts.
They said that the total market value of the assets was Rs 10 crore.
The ACB officials remanded the accused to judicial custody.
