3 blasts rocked Mumbai on Wednesday evening, between 6:45pm and 7pm, killing 13 and injuring about a 100 so far. The toll is rising.
The Indian Mujahideen is suspected to be behind the blasts, all of which were caused by IED (Improvised Explosive Devices).
"The blasts occurred at about 6.45 pm within minute of each other. Therefore, this was a coordinated attack by terrorists," said Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, in a press statement.
""The National Security Guard (NSG) which has a hub in Mumbai is standing by. One CSFL team in Delhi and one CSFL team in Hyderabad are being rushed to Mumbai by special aircraft," he added.
The first explosion took place at south Mumbai's Zaveri Bazaar, at 6:45pm.
The second took place in a car at Dadar, parked near the Dadar Hanuman Mandir bus stop. The number of the car, which was grey, is MH-43 A 9384.
The third blast took place at Opera House on Charni Road, outside a building called City Chamber. This is said to be the most powerful.
