The 108 Emergency Services Employees Association on Monday threatened its people would go on strike from May 5 if its demands were not met.
According to Association President Mahender Reddy, the employees, in their strike notice, demanded regularisation of the services of contract employees working with the 108 services, and payment of minimum wages to the employees.
They also urged that the state government take control of the 108 services. Else, he said that the contract employees would be forced to go on strike from May 5. (INN)
