The CBI special court has ruled that Vijy Sai Reddy should be treated as a special prisoner.

The verdict was pronounced after he petitioned with the court yesterday to be accorded the special status. He had surrendered before the court after his interim bail was cancelled.

Reddy pleaded with the court to allow him to use medications for his ailments, and to be accorded special status while in custody. (INN)
