Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao on Saturday slammed Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for skipping the Congress party's 129th foundation day celebrations.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Hanumantha Rao said that the CM's absence from the party's foundation day celebrations would send a wrong signal among the entire rank and file across the state.
He added that if this trend continued, even regular party workers would skip the foundation day celebrations from next year onwards.
Hanumantha Rao said that Kiran Kumar Reddy became the CM only because he was a loyal party worker.
"It is incorrect to ignore the party's important functions," he said.
Stating that AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi announced his "war against corruption", the Congress MP warned the CM against signing files at his will.
He said Kiran Kumar Reddy's actions might harm the party in the coming elections. (INN)
