Two car racers have been apprehended by the Hyderabad police for rash driving on the busy PVNR expressway (the "airport flyover").
The racers were coming from Shamshabad to Mehdipatnam.
The police spotted the cars when they were speeding on the flyover. The cars were seized and taken to Rajendranagar police station.
It has become a practice for car racers to hold racing competitions on the ORR every weekend. However, racers were today found on the expressway right in the middle of the city, shocking the police.
The police have booked cases against the offenders, and are investigating the matter.
