The three-member committee constituted by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to look into the implementation of the PRC, today met the representatives of five employees' unions - the PRTU-TS, the Telangana Class-IV Employees Association (TCFA), the Telangana State United Teachers Federation (TSUTF), the Telangana Revenue Employees Service Association (TRESA) and the Twin Cities Telangana Government Drivers Central Association (TCTGDCA) at the BRKR Bhavan, to discuss the latter's issues with the recently released report of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC).
The committee, headed by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, heard the complaints of the five employees' associations one by one on the PRC's recommendations, and on various other employee issues.
Following this, Kumar assured the associations' representatives that the issues pertaining to the PRC recommendations raised by them would be brought to the notice of the CM at the earliest so that their grievances could be addressed in a timely fashion.
MLC K Ragotham Reddy; former MLC B Kamalakar Rao; PRTU-TS President P Sripal Reddy; TSUTF President K Jangaiah, Vice President Ch Durga Bhavani and General Secretary Chava Ravi; TRESA Association President Vanga Ravinder Reddy; General Secretary K Goutham Kumar and member Madhavi Reddy; TCFA representatives G Gyaneshwar, Qhadar Bin Hassan, P Laxman Rao, K Dhan Raj and A Sati Raj; TCTGDCA President A Srinivas, Vice President K Narsing Rao and General Secretary Mohd Yousufuddin were among the representatives present at the meeting.
The Telangana government has stepped up its efforts to implement the recommendations of the PRC for the government employees in the state after it received much flak for its "failure" to do so earlier. The peeved employees had even organised
a demonstration in Hyderabad yesterday.
