In a relief to the makers of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy starring Chiranjeevi, the Telangana High Court on Tuesday dismissed a PIL filed by the Tamil Nadu Telugu Youth Association against the film complaining that the makers of the movie were not being clear on whether or not the movie was based on the freedon fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.
The court said that going by the right to freedom of expression, it would not interfere with the release of the movie.
The film is scheduled for release on October 2, and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nayantara, Tamannah Bhatia and Vijay Sethupathi along with Chiranjeevi.
In another petition filed by the Vaddera Samithi, the court, while refusing to stay the release of the film, issued notices to the filmmaker asking for a counter affidavit, and posted the matter to October 16 for further hearing.
