With the change of the government, those holding nominated posts in Andhra Pradesh filled during the TDP regime are tendering their resignations.
TDP leader Jaleel Khan, who has been serving as the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Wakf Board, called it quits on Saturday.
Speaking to mediapersons after his resignation, Khan congratulated Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and his party on their victory in the recently concluded elections. He claimed that the TDP had put up a strong fight in his constituency, Vijayawada West, but had lost due to the YSRCP wave sweeping the State.
He also rued that politics in AP were completely centered around caste.
Others who tendered their resignations to their nominated posts are Sudheer Reddy, Chairman of the Jammalamadugu Area Hospital; Ambica Krishna, Chairman of the Television and Theatre Development Corporation; the Executive Council members of the Kanaka Durga Temple; and Vemuri Anand, Chairman of the AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation.
