Some of the striking TSRTC employees on Wednesday called on Chinna Jeeyar Swami at his ashram (hermitage) on the city outskirts.
The workers belonging to the Rajendra Nagar depot and neighbouring depots met with the Hindu seer and urged him to intervene and talk to the government to get the latter to grant the demands they made of the State government.
The RTC workers told the seer, who is said to be close to the Telangana Chief Minister, that though they had been on the strike for the last 25 days, there was no response from the State government to them, and that it did not look like the State government was interested in resolving it.
The monk is said to have given a patient hearing to the RTC employees.
