Telangana Health Minister Etala Rajender today inaugurated a stem cell laboratory in NIMS in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister stated that the new facility would be a boon for blood cancer patients.
The lab would conduct a staggering 10,000 tests a day, he claimed.
He added that Rs 250 crore had been spent on the facility, and that it would go a long way to serve blood cancer patients.
On the coronavirus, the minister said that the government had increased testing for the same, and that the tests were now available in mandals and districts. The Chief Minister had instructed officials to perform coronavirus testing at the doorsteps of people, and that was the next goal, he said.
"And now that the coronavirus spread had declined we will start outpatient services in hospitals soon," he added.
