SETWIN Plans 10 New Centres
The centres will be set up in Hassan Nagar, Khairatabad, Panjagutta, Somajiguda, Goshamahal, Agapura and Jubilee Hills, among other areas.

Setwin chairman Md. Maqsood Ahmed on Monday announced that the organization would set up 10 new training centres in the year 2014.
Addressing a press conference, Maqsood Ahmed said that the centres would be set up in Hassan Nagar, Khairatabad, Panjagutta, Somajiguda, Goshamahal, Agapura, Jubilee Hills and Malakpet, and Kamareddy and Machareddy of Nizamabad district. He said that currently, as many as 18 centres are operating in the city, while 27 centres are active in other districts. In addition, there are 45 franchises and 12 centres in various Battalions of the state police.
SETWIN offers 35 courses, and over 5.72 lakh students have undergone training with it. In 2013 alone, as many as 7,212 students were trained by SETWIN.
Maqsood Ahmed said that about 50,000 commuters utilise the services of 99 mini buses being operated by SETWIN. The bus services have employed 325 youth in the city.
He added that SETWIN plans to train about 12,000 youth in various skill development training programs with the support of Andhra Pradesh state Minorities Finance Corporation. He said that several requests were being received for the franchise of SETWIN's pre-primary teachers' training centres.
He also said that efforts were being made to get GAD attestation for SETWIN's certificates, which he said would be helpful to candidates in getting jobs abroad. (INN)
