The Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway conducted "A Fortress Check" against ticketless and irregular travel at Mahabubnagar Railway station.
As many as 22 Ticket Checking staff and 12 Railway Protection Force Personnel were involved in the check.
The check was conducted under the direct supervision of Assistant Commercial Manager.
7 express and 9 passenger trains which were either originating or departing the Mahabubnagar station were thoroughly checked.
A total of 179 cases were booked during the course of the check, out of which 142 persons were travelling without tickets and 37 persons were carrying unbooked luggage.
An amount of Rs. 46,960 was realized towards penalty from these passengers. (INN)
