Congress MP Gutta Sukender Reddy on Friday stated that the Telangana people were not gullible enough to be taken in by the cheap tricks of Telangana Telugu Desam Forum, which planned to stage a dharna in front of the residence of Congress president Sonia Gandhi on October 25th.
The TTDP leaders have announced that the dharna has been planned to build pressure on the Congress to introduce a bill on separate Telangana state in parliament.
Talking to media persons after meeting Telangana leaders from Nalgonda district at former minister Jana Reddy's residence, Reddy pointed out that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu had failed to make his stand clear before the Justice Srikrishna Commission on separate statehood issue.
Reddy stated that the Telangana leaders were not in a position to fall for the cheap tricks of Naidu and would give a fitting reply to him at suitable time for not making his stand clear on Telangana.
The meeting was held to discuss modalities for disbursing financial assistance to the kin of victims, who had laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana state.
The MP said that the the leaders had discussed ways to disburse compensation to families of 25 victims of Nalgonda district, who laid down their lives for the cause of statehood issue.
The martyrs meeting would be held on October 31st to disburse compensation of Rs. 1 lakh to the families of victims.
