Several shocking facts are coming to the fore in the case of the suspicious death of industrialist Chigurupati Jayaram, 55, founder of the now defunct Telugu news channel Express TV and a number of other companies, who was found dead in a car in Vijayawada.
In a fresh development, the police found that the niece of Jayaram, Shikha Choudhary, was behind the murder of her uncle.
When interrogated, Choudhary revealed many facts. She said that she had married twice, had gotten separated from both husbands, and also that she had had an extra-marital affair with Jayaram. She also claimed that the deceased used to sexually harass her sister.
Her current boyfriend Rakesh Reddy is said to have killed Jayaram. Choudhary said that she had introduced Jayaram to Reddy, who gave a loan of Rs 4.5 crore to the industrialist. Jayaram could not pay back the loan, or even the interest after a stage, resulting in Reddy getting into a fight and killing the former, Choudhary is supposed to have said. Choudhary claimed that she did not think Reddy would go to the extent of killing her uncle.
