Telangana Finance Minister Etela Rajender today said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who was found to be the kingpin in the "Note-For-Vote" scam culminating in Telangana TDP MLA Revanth Reddy's arrest, was trying to escape from the case.
Talking to mediapersons on Tuesday, the minister rubbished the allegation that the TRS government had tapped the voice of Naidu.
He asserted that the TRS government did not resort to tapping Naidu's phone, and that the ACB had plunged into action only after nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson filed a complaint with it on May 28.
Ever since the tapes of the murky issue came to light, Revanth Reddy had remained mum, Etela said.
Etela also said that Chandrababu Naidu's voice was clear in his conversation with MLA Stephenson.
The minister said the issue was a classic example of Naidu's corrupt activities since a long time including buying legislators, and that the issue was not at all between the two Telugu states.
Though the people of Andhra Pradesh were disillusioned with him, Naidu was talking without shame, Rajender charged.
The law would take its own course, and no one would escape from it, he added. (NSS)
