Minister Gives 23 Lakh To KTR's Ambulance Initiative

Telangana Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar today offered Rs 23 lakh to enhance the ambulance services in the state.
Hyderabad | 5th August 2020
Telangana Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar today offered Rs 23 lakh to enhance the ambulance services in the state.

This gesture is in response to IT Minister K T Rama Rao's call to "gift a smile" to mark his birthday recently.

The IT minister had urged his party leaders and workers to avoid bouquets or other gifts to him, and offer money instead to create a fleet of ambulances to help the Covid-19 patients in the state.

Responding to that, Kumar called on KTR at Pragathi Bhavan today and offered him the cheque.

The minister gave the cheque for Rs 23 lakh in his personal capacity for the cause.

TRS leaders have come forward to fund a total of 100 ambulances for treating Covid-19 patients in response to KTR's call.

KTR had himself launched 6 such ambulances in his personal capacity for the purpose on his birthday.
