BJP MLA T Raja Singh today made sensational remarks against his own party, and claimed that he was ready to attack the party to protect the Hindu culture and its various symbols, including the cow.
Speaking at a dharna held at the Indira Park by the Yuga Tulasi Foundation to demand that the cow be made the national animal of the country, he said that he was not bothered about appointments or posts, and that he would not hesitate to take drastic steps for the protection of his religion and culture.
He claimed that he had been ready to even resign from his post over the issue of cow protection, but had been dissuaded by senior leaders from doing so.
The MLA also demanded that the union government declare the cow as the national animal at the earliest.
He then urged the youth of the country to respect the cow as their mother, and to protect it all costs.
