Senior BJP leader and the party's candidate for the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat G Kishan Reddy today urged the people to see his track record and vote for him in the April 11 elections to the Lok Sabha.
Speaking at a meet-the-press program, Reddy said that he had served the people relentlessly for 15 years as an MLA and had resolved many of their burning problems. He said that due to the short time available he couldn't cover all the areas in the constituency, and that the people should look at his past performance and vote even if he wasn't able to personally reach out to them this time.
Taking on his opponents, Reddy said, "All the regional parties are operated by family-run businesses. MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi too is committed only to his family and not to service, and his top priority is himself. And these power-hungry regional and opposition parties are making impossible promises to woo the people. Fortunately PM Modi will remain in power despite all the efforts of the opposition to oust him from power due to his selfless services to the people. And a vote for me will ensure the direct support of the Centre for Secunderabad."
Asked how many seats his party would win in Telangana, Reddy said that the BJP would bag the maximum number of MP seats as there was an overwhelming response in the State to the party in the last three days. He also said that TRS supremo KCR was hobnobbing with Telangana antagonists like the MIM, and that the people would see through his charade.
