Telangana Congress leader T Jayaprakash Reddy (Jagga Reddy) pointed out that even the Centre was against religion-based reservations, as claimed by Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, and questioned Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on his promise of giving 12% reservations to Muslims.
He predicted that the Chief Minister would try to encash on the Muslim vote bank by blaming the Centre in case the new 12% quota policy failed. KCR would backstab Muslims at any chance he got as he, too, was against reserving seats to them, Reddy alleged.
