BJP Telangana president Dr K Laxman on Thursday hoisted the national flag at the party's State headquarters in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, Laxman alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who had promised to declare September 17 as Telangana Liberation Day officially, had retracted after coming to power.
Laxman vowed that the BJP would however organize Telangana Liberation Day celebrations in the State on that day.
Targeting TRS working president K T Rama Rao for his comments on religious harmony being in jeopardy due to the BJP, he ridiculed KTR for talking about religious harmony after keeping the MIM as his party's ally in the State. He said that the TRS was allying with a party which was routinely responsible for communal riots
He called upon the BJP workers to work hard to end the family rule of KCR in the State.
