Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and K Chandrashekar Rao respectively are likely to meet in Hyderabad on June 28 and 29 to discuss sharing the Godavari river waters among the States.
A team of irrigation officials, including AP Special Chief Secretary (Irrigation), is also likely to attend the meet.
The two CMs recently met in Amaravathi and held preliminary discussions on how to share the Godavari waters. They agreed to utilize the 1,480 TMC of Godavari waters and 811 TMC of Krishna waters allocated to the combined AP in a way fair to both States. The CMs are now likely to have another round of talks in Hyderabad. Officials will then continue the talks in Vijayawada.
