A TRS leader from the L B Nagar Assembly constituency today joined the BJP.

Jitta Surender Reddy was welcomed into the BJP by its state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar and union Minister of State For Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy.

Just a few days back, a follower of local MP A Revanth Reddy, Koppula Narasimha Reddy, had also joined the BJP from the same Assembly constituency.

The BJP is raring to face the local body elections after tasting victory in Dubbaka. The party has taken the GHMC elections as a prestigious elections. The national leadership of the party has appointed senior leader and MP Tarun Chug as an in-charge for Telangana. Chug is also the national general secretary of the party.

It has also appointed five other leaders of the party as co-incharges of the party for five districts of the state.

In addition, the party has also appointed party committees at the local level in the GHMC limits.
