City Police Seize Rs 4.92 Crore In Two Days
Plenty of unaccounted cash is floating around as the elections approach.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar today said that his Task Force personnel had seized Rs 4.92 crore in cash during checks in the last two days.
Six accused were arrested in this connection, he added.
The amount was seized in the limits of the Punjagutta, OU, Golconda and S R Nagar police stations.
On Saturday, the West Zone Task Force team raided an apartment at Somajiguda and nabbed an M Satwik Reddy living in My Home Hill View Apartments, Somajiguda, and a Sourav Goyal of Shivarampally, and seized Rs 26,19,070. They duo were unable to provide any valid documents pertaining to the cash.
Similarly, the North Zone Task Force team intercepted a Swift car at Moosarambagh and apprehended persons identified as Thandra Kasinath Reddy living in Maithri Classic Apartments, Chitra Layout, L B Nagar, and Bhukya Ravi, a car driver of Mansurabad, L B Nagar, who were smuggling Rs 34,30,000. When questioned, the duo said that the amount was meant to be distributed to booth-level committee members to bribe voters in the limits of the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha Constituency.
On Sunday, the West Zone Task Force team intercepted a Toyota Innova in Banjara Hills and apprehended one Mallareddy Srinivas of Kalyan Nagar, S R Nagar. He was carrying Rs 1 crore and failed to provide any documents pertaining to the cash. Hence the police seized the cash and the car.
In another case on Sunday, the Central Zone team intercepted a Toyota Innova near the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, Banjara Hills, and apprehended one Boddupalli Seenaiah alias Srinu of MLA Colony, Banjara Hills, who was carrying Rs 1 crore. The accused said that he was taking the cash upon the instructions of one Jayaveer Reddy, to the Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency to bribe voters.
