The High Court has adjourned the case pertaining to the appointment of RTI Commissioners for 2 weeks.
The court has said that it will combine the previous petitions, and take up the case after 2 weeks.
The appointment has become controversial, with social organizations challenging the appointment, saying that it has become a political rehabilitation scheme. Some of the members were active in politics, they protesters pointed out.
Governor E S L Narasimhan has asked the government to reconsider the decision of four names, but the government sent the same names again, which were approved. (INN)
