Most exit polls whose results were released after the last phase of polling for the 2019 general elections today point to a huge win for the YSR Congress Party, led by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, the son of former united AP CM Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, in Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh went in for Assembly elections too on April 14 along with the general elections. The State is currently ruled by the TDP.

The highly reliable (based on past predictions) CPS exit poll predicts 130+ seats for the YSRCP and just 37 for the TDP.

7 of 9 exit polls have predicted a YSR Congress Party win. The poll of polls projects 134 seats for the YSR Congress Party, and 40 for the Telugu Desam Party.

The strength of the AP Assembly is 175.

Andhra Pradesh also has 25 Lok Sabha seats, and the exit polls predict a majority for the YSR Congress there, too. Times Now, India Today and News18 all predicted the YSRCP winning the majority of the 25 seats, with the poll of polls projecting 15 seats for the YSR Congress and 10 for the TDP.

Jagan has several corruption cases against him, and has been in jail for nearly a year and a half. His financial affairs continue to be investigated by the CBI and the ED.

The official results of the elections will come out on May 23.
