Prominent Hyderabad-based animation company DQ Entertainment Limited has gone bankrupt.
It has filed a petition for insolvency in a court.
The declaration of bankruptcy by the company has put its 1,400 employees on the road.
The company has also reportedly not paid the salaries of many employees for the last eight months, resulting in them approaching the State Human Rights Commission and the CCS police station.
In their complaint to the police, the employees alleged that the management was threatening them when they demanded money, and urged the police to take action against the Managing Director Tapas Chakravarthy.
They said that each employee of the company needed to be paid Rs. 14 lakh.
