Dattatreya, Sujana Chowdary To Be Inducted To Union Cabinet
Secunderabad BJP MP Bandaru Dattatreya and TDP's Rajya Sabha MP Y S Chowdary were invited by the Prime Minister to join his Cabinet.

Secunderabad MP and senior BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya, and TDP's Rajya Sabha MP Y S Chowdary, popularly known as Sujana Chowdary, will be inducted into the Union Cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during its expansion and reshuffle on Sunday.
Both Dattatreya and Chowdary were invited by the Prime Minister to join his Cabinet.
After receiving the invitation, Dattatreya offered prayers at the Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Tadbund.
Expressing happiness over his selection, he said that he would accept any responsibility assigned by the Prime Minister.
Born on 12th June 1947, Dattatreya is a B Sc graduate. He joined the RSS in 1965 and worked as an RSS Pracharak from 1968 to 1989. He served as the State Joint Secretary of the Lok Sangarsha Samiti (Jayaprakash Narayana Movement) from 1975-1977. He was also arrested under MISA during the emergency from 1976-77.
He established Seva Bharathi to promote time-tested Indian values among the people. He spearheaded rehabilitation for Diviseema in the Krishna district (the Cyclone relief committee) during 1977-79.
Dattatreya joined the BJP in 1980 as a State Secretary. He held various posts in the Party, and in 1991 got elected to the Lok Sabha from the Secunderabad constituency. He got re-elected from the same seat during elections held 1998, 1999 and 2014. He also served as the Union Minister of State for Railways during Atal Bihari Vajpayee's regime.
Y S Chowdary was born on 2nd June 1961 in Kanchikacherla of the Krishna district. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology. He also obtained his Master degree from the PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, with specialisation in Machine Tool Engineering.
He floated the Sujana group of companies in 1986. Influenced by the policies of the Telugu Desam Party, he joined politics, and was elected as a member of the Rajya Sabha on 22nd June 2010. He is considered close to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
After getting a call from the Prime Minister, Chowdary called on Chandrababu Naidu and thanked him for recommending his name for inclusion into the Union Cabinet. (INN)
