All arrangements are being made at a brisk pace for the upcoming national executive committee meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the city on July 2 and 3, which will be followed by a huge public meeting at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds on July 3 evening.
This was stated by the Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay, after inspecting the Hyderabad International Convention Centre at Madhapur today.
Speaking to the media, Sanjay said that despite any obstacles created by the State government, the public meeting would be held with 10 lakh people.
Apart from members of the 34,000-odd BJP polling booth committees, all the beneficiaries of the union government schemes would be mobilised for the meeting, he said.
Thanking the BJP national leadership for deciding to hold the first post-pandemic national executive committee meeting in Hyderabad, Sanjay said that it was a grand opportunity for every BJP worker to brace for future challenges.
The national executive committee meeting would be attended by over 300 leaders, including all the BJP national committee members, the Chief Ministers and deputy Chief Ministers of 18 BJP-ruled States, former BJP CMs, the presidents of all State BJP units, and coordinators and special invitees.
"In all, 34 committees have been formed to oversee the arrangements of the NEC meeting, which will be held from the afternoon of July 2 to the evening of July 3," he said.
Sanjay said that the presence of the top BJP leaders for two days in Hyderabad would greatly boost the morale of the party cadre in the State who were been fighting against the "anti-people and anti-democratic" rule of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
He added that as part of the party's decision to involve every party worker in these meetings, it was collecting donations from 50,000-odd zonal, district and State-level leaders ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
"The payments are to be made only digitally to the BJP State unit's bank account," he clarified.
