The next hearing on MIM leaders Asad and Akbar Owaisi, in a case registered against them in April 2005 for allegedly abusing the then District Collector of Medak, has been adjourned to 22 February.
The Sangareddy Court on Friday adjourned the next hearing on Asaduddin and Akbaruddin Owaisi to 22 February, in a case registered against them in April 2005 for allegedly abusing the then District Collector of Medak.
MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi and the party's floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Friday appeared before the Sangareddy Court in connection with the case. The Owaisi brothers, along with other MIM leaders, have been accused of abusing the then Medak District Collector A K Singhal during a protest against the demolition of a mosque in Matangi of Patencheru mandal. While Asaduddin Owaisi went to the court from Hyderabad, Akbaruddin Owaisi was shifted amid tight security from the Adilabad District Jail, where he is lodged in connection with an alleged hate speech case registered against him by the Nirmal Police.
Both Asaduddin and Akbaruddin Owaisi have already recieved bail in the Sangareddy case. (INN)
