Amrapali Kata May Join Kishan Reddy Peshi In Delhi

The high-profile IAS officer is to serve as Private Secretary to the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs if and when she moves.
Hyderabad | 12th July 2019
The Centre has asked the Telangana government to depute two officials working in the GHMC in Hyderabad to serve in Delhi.

The Centre reportedly asked the State government to send on deputation GHMC Additional Commissioner Amrapali Kata and Director of Sports (Training Programmes) K Shashikiran Chary to work in the peshi of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy.

The two officials are likely to be shifted to Delhi soon, according to information.

After serving as Collector for Warangal Urban, the high-profile IAS officer Amrapali Kata came to GHMC as an Additional Commissioner, and also served as the Joint CEO for Telangana during the recent Lok Sabha polls.

Her husband, Sameer Sharma, an IPS officer, is already posted in Delhi.

An NOC from the Telangana government is needed for Kata to move to Delhi, and that could take time. Kata is to serve as Private Secretary to Reddy if and when she moves.
