Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday blamed the previous governments for the current problems of the State.
Addressing the joint meeting of the party's elected representatives and the politburo at Telangana Bhavan, KCR said that the governments of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh were responsible for the crises being faced by the new State now, as they had neglected the Telangana region during their regimes.
He condemned the Opposition Parties for their criticism of the TRS Government, and accused the leaders of speaking without having basic knowledge.
He listed out the difficulties, including the shortage of All India Service officials, under which his government was functioning in the State.
Criticising the Congress, KCR alleged that the Opposition Party was suffering from a mental depression after it had faced a humiliating defeat in the last general elections.
Speaking about the energy crisis, the Chief Minister said that currently the government was not in a position to do anything to reduce the demand-supply gap.
He said that Telangana was not having power of its own, and was dependent on other States.
He also accused his Andhra Pradesh counterpart Chandrababu Naidu of hatching a conspiracy to push the TRS Government into a crisis.
However, he assured that the government would be able to supply power for all 24 hours after 3 years.
The Chief Minister reiterated that his government would fulfill all the promises that it made to the people.
He also stressed the need to ensure women's safety, especially in Hyderabad. He said that women's safety was important for the brand image of Hyderabad, and advocated stringent punishment for and action against those indulging in crime against women.
KCR also assured that honest and sincere party workers would be given due recognition, and promised to accommodate dedicated workers in nominated posts.
He announced that round-the-year training classes would be started for all TRS workers. (INN)
