Exactly.

I also have many doubts about the Quran and other religious texts. Whenever I want to know something about the Quran, I ask some of my good friends, one of who is from Yemen, and I get replies which make most sense. And yeah, none of us gets offended by either the questions or the answers. 8)

how can it be fair that something that is sin today is the best thing to happen to mankind years later? is this an indication that even god does nt know what he is doing or that he is confused with what has to be sin and what is not?
If you were descended from monkeys, what is the guarantee that you're not a product of incest? :P In many zoos (including our Nehru zoological park) they keep one male and several females, and the male does all the dirty work without differentiating between his mother, sister, daughter and grand-daughter. The law does not apply to them :)

regarding animals, they do not have any set rules of incest, cos they re animals and not fully developed human beings with the concept of a healthy society, god and 'morals', so i would nt really call matings between closely rerlatged animals as incest, on the other hand, what abraham did was incest.... with the consent of his God, what Adam did was incest... that too with the consent of his god.

Well, that what I said.. I'll believe in what I believe and you believe in what you believe 8) Nobody imposes on each other.

if we were not to question our belief, why do u think god 'gave' us the complex brain? he could have kept us like monkeys without a good brain or the ability to think

What Abraham did was incest.. according to our times. As I said earlier, God set a bunch of rules and laws to be followed by mankind. The human brain is way too small to comprehend what He wanted for us. We have advanced a lot in technology, but there are millions of issues which are beyond our understanding. Our ways of thinking and logic are restricted in a miniature sandbox; the real reasoning and logic of all this is known only to God.. you can ask Him yourself :)

Whoever said our brain was complex? :P There are animals which are more brainy, have better coordination with nature and with one another. Its just that human beings are more like Americans, better with people management and with a different plane of communication via speech.

They have more complex brain than humans?

How do u define complex? by activities or just sheer weight?

If so, sperm whale has heaviest brain, but dolphins have more brain/kg of body weight and humans have highest brain/kg.

Source: http://www.news-medical.net/print_article.asp?id=5810

"Dolphin brains are four to five times larger for their body size when compared to another animal of similar size. In humans, the measure is seven times larger -- not a huge difference. Essentially, the brains of primates and cetaceans arrived at the same cognitive space while evolving along quite different paths" Marino says. "What the data say to me is that we, as humans, are not that special. Although we are highly encephalized, it's not by much or for that long compared with odontocetes."

Another one:

http://library.thinkquest.org/C0110299/ ... qtime=0602

More important than brain/body ratio is the complexity of the brain. Things like the type and number of neurons and number of synapses are what intelligence researchers have found to be consistently linked to a person's intellect. For instance, areas such as the frontal lobes, responsible for complex characteristics and activities such as personality and problem-solving capabilities, are more highly developed in species we view as more intelligent. These areas have a greater number of neurons, glial cells, and synapses. The neurons and glial cells are also larger. Interestingly, dolphins have been discovered to exceed humans in the intricacy of brain structure, a wrinkle to the theory of brain complexity linked to intelligence. Perhaps dolphins are smarter than humans, but on a different level and thus rendering our perception of intelligence false and useless. On the contrary, perhaps we are looking for the wrong differences between those of superior and inferior intellectual capabilites. Humans may be relatively intelligent, but we still have a lot to learn.

how come we are ruling this planet instead of the dolphins or what so evr other animals?

and otherwise too as u have said b4, there are way too many things beyond our understanding, very true.... thats exactly what the primitive man thought about fire and storms till they actually discovered them, must have taken theem a few 1000 years to figure it., it was beyond our understanding as to how the light[energy] travels from the sun to earth until the theory of relativity explained it, gravity was miracle for millions till newton explained it, and eve today there a million more things which still are a mystery, the biggest opne being the human brain, till some day someone will unravel it, but i would say it is foolishness that we asociate it with god whatever we cannot understand
