Double love

by Fluere » Fri Sep 17, 2004 11:19 am

We find these days that increasingly men and women have relationships outside of marraige and claim their undying love for their spouses as well. Is it really possible to love two people at the same time..or do people live a lie and pretend that they are actually in love..if they are in love is why is it they dont confess it to their spouse and face their fears. What do these realities of our existance speak of our modern societies. Does the fact that having a child very early in marraige as in most cases, save a marraige inpite of these escapedes. I hear the cliche "for the sake of our child" so often these days that its become quite boring..

I don't know. Frankly I'm a bit tired of this. Are you only here for the love stuff?

As for the question, Yes, people can love a person other than his/her spouse. Whic is why Islam allows for more than one marraige.

There are valid reasons for the multiple marriages, Sharjeel. And lust or love isnt one of them, as far as I know.

You are right.

In fact, now that I look at my post again, my explanation looks quite stupid :?. It take it all back.

The point I was trying to make is that people can definitely love more than one person. Not that they should, but they can and it is natural.
