It is very interesting and helped me understand my self better and also the behaviour of girls.



As mentioned earlier in this discussion, men and women had different responsibilities to start off with. in a family the mans job was to hunt and bring home the food. where as the womens job was to take care of the house, gather fruits, and watch out for wild animals. Now let us look into it a bit deeply. A hunter needs to have sharp eyesight to spot things far away and hit them. where as a gatherer and care taker needs to be good at spotting things close to them. Thats the reason our moms and sis`s are good at finding things in cup board or a fridge. thats the way they have evolved. Men can spot things far off, women cant, and women can find an elusive pair of socks in the cupboard easily where as men cant.



women have very good short range eye sight, which has evolved over a very long period of time. thats why they can spot the expressions on the face and get the idea abt whats happening.



so the next time u want to lie to ur mother, do it either thru a telephone or in a dark room



women also have a better peripheral vision than men. thats why when we spot a good lookig girl we look at her directly and hence we get caught. where as a woman doesnt get caught even though she is looking at a handsome guy walking past her.

The Difference is in the Attention to Detail ... Men have a Cause / Goal / Vision and accordingly work their Way; Women go into the Detail not for just now, Tomorrow or Next Month or Months Away ... They Worry and Harry their Menfolk. Eg if a Vacation Trip or a Marriage Event (or even an Anticipated Death & Funeral ...), Women go into the Detail of Clothes / Jewelry / Rituals & Exchanges. looks like ppl on this board have lost sense of whether this debate is about mother's intuitive skills about her child or women's in general. and believe me friends, both the topics lead to entirely different arguments b.coz although mother is a woman her understandimng of her child is more due to the gene pool she shares. its becoz she has given it the flesh n blood more than just bcoz she is a woman. u see, u n i can understand the behaviour, actions of our siblings better than anybodyelse's and better than anybodyelse can. in any case even mothers can be fooled by their children but more on that later...

spiff dear, all that i m saying is a myth is the notion of women possessing this sixth sense any more than men. thats what i had made clear in the beginning itself - that mother-father and men-women in general r not the same so far as the question of intuition goes, that i dont say no to the idea that mother r endowed with an extra ounce of insight into her offspring, but this fact can not b extrapolated to infere that all women in general r so gifted with regard to understanding human beings in general, that mother's edge over father on this matter is not due to mother being a woman and father being a man but mother being mother-the bearer, nurturer of the child. mother and child spend more time with one another than father and child, not to mention the nine months child spends inside her.
