Do you love a Ghost...

by Asli_Badmash » Wed Feb 18, 2004 12:32 pm

Not only do I not think love doesnt exist. I beleive when you do fall in love its only with an idea of who you think the other person is, an image of the person, not the person as he/she is.

Think about it... Have you ever fallen in love and found out that the Guy is a jerk or the girl totally used you. Look back at it or just look at the person who is in love with you, but you are not; there is always an image or a ghost involved.

I think you agree with me when I say... Sometimes we like to fool ourselves, making ourselves beleive we are in love. Doesn't happen. Grow up people and we dont need anybody to complete us. We are complete within ourselves and we dont need to prove anything by falling in love or marrying someone.

PS: The word Ghost is used in a non-literal way...

..ha..ha.ha.. bachhu...., kab bade hogga, kab e bachpana chodegaa puttar..huh ?

According to Freud, a 15-16 yr old male thinks exactly so.. 'me dont need no girls. they are silly'. and once they get into their 16 ish 17's, ' i love this girl for her eyes' i love this one for her brains' that one for her good humor' ..

girls ofcourse reach this stage a way lot earlier..

btw, 'love' happens for the sake of procreation.. companionship is needed. more so in old age. all these are truths of maturity.

hum bhi ek zamane mein kaha karte thhe, arre yaar kisse chahiyye shadi vaadi, shadi barbadi hai etc etc.. javani ki josh mein.

apne bahan bhai ki shadi/bacche phir appni apni parivar..apne maabaap buzurg hojayange.

tab samajh mein aayegi ke kyon hame bhi biwi ya patti chahiye, aur kis tarha apne bacche liven up our lives...

i started off on a lively note alright, but as i started writing, it made me feel sad for all those of us who are alone by choice, more so during their old age...

a loving spouse should happen to each one of us.

Ha ha, we have the top 2 persons of our country (the PM and the President) who are alone by choice, and they seem to be doing fine. I guess you could have continued on that lively note sans all the senti stuff :)

I beleive when you do fall in love its only with an idea of who you think the other person is, an image of the person, not the person as he/she is.

Badmash, the same can be said of other situations also. Like when my employer hired me, he hired my image/ghost and not the actual me? We elected ghosts as our PM and CMs? Since it has worked well for all the other situations, I guess it would work fine for love too :)

Grow up people and we dont need anybody to complete us. We are complete within ourselves and we dont need to prove anything by falling in love or marrying someone.

I am with you. I look at love as another channel of expressing oneself (like arts or music or sport). The more ways we find of expressing ourselves, the more impact we make in this world around us. But we should be able to live without love as well, just like we can live without painting or singing or writing. So, I am with you that it is not a mandatory criterion for achieving 'completeness'.
