Love and marriage

Guys and girls,
 
 What ever way you are married,Most imporatant things which required in married life is commitment and honesty. All love marriages never works out , even though they married they are suffering . All those suffers are married without considering the parents .When love some one and if you want marry that person then first talk to both parents . one of my friend did a love marriage. His parents agreed for that, but not her parents. She is not talking with her mom past few years. imagine if he is talking to all of his realtives she is not, how much she will feel inside. Atleast if not today may be in feature. After all we know that person past few months, because of that person can we ignore our parents. I will say this simply attraction and our age needs some oppsite sex companian. It is become fashion now days saying as she is my GF or He is my BF. First settle in ur life and think of marriage next. If he or she really likes you they will wait. I am telling this based on my expereience.
 Same time Arrange marriages are also failing. That is because of attitude both person.

Hey you are 100% correct. I agree with you. Whether you do a love marriage or arranged marriage... it has all chances to fail or succeed in life. It all depends on the persons. But in love marriages sometimes we may lose our entire family... who love us, care us, strive for us and sacrifice their lives for us too. Our children may not have the love or their grand parents and so our parents. Love is great... but love is not the one only between you and your better half. Our parents love us, our friends, our siblings.. our relatives.. everybody... love is wonderful... If one can find true love, they will never lose that...

hey! i have been watching this topic to see where it leads.
 i had a love marriage 3 yrs ago and now blessed with a child too!
 People say 90% love marriages fail, but this is a highly exaggerated figure. the problem is all remember only love marrages that fail. no one talks about or notices love marriages that are successful. i know of many successful cases too...like mine for example!
 on the same lines, people ignore and dont talk about failed arranged marriages. as a concept, \"Arranged Marriage\" is something i can never accept...marrying some stranger purely based on decisions by elders and some obscure astrological hocuspocus...and suddenly sharing a bed with them (traumatic atleast for the girl!)
 in case anyone noticed, wife burning and wife beatings take place only in arranged marriages.
 everybody remember that times are fast changing and each generation is \"faster\" than the previous. what i have done would not have been possible a generation or two ago. it would only be realistic to assume that our kids would be more aware of things at an earlier age and we would have to adjust our attitude accordingly.
 or else prepare for a showdown when your kids grow up.

 Did u know that Lord Ram and Sita were married also after \'seeing\' horoscope.and \' LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT\" !!!
 ..And what happened...was...to live in hardship (forrest).... then in villain\'s house (Ravana)...then come back to Ayodhya , only to be banished again ...with a bad name................
 Is this Utopian Marriage !!!! as many of our Moms would like to say ?????

 love and marry or marry and love, ultimately its the love which is the concept in marriage, if sincerely love is showered the harmony developes, so there is hardly any difference between arranged marriage and love marriage .. except in love marriage , normally the couple gets a better introduction and interaction ,( like instant noodles) while in arranged marriage its take little time to understand each other..( like conventinal noodles)

 I am not saying love marriage always fail and arrange marriage are always sucesfull. If you loved someone and wants marry that guy or girl DONT DITCH YOU ARE PARENTS. It is not correct.
 For arranged marrriage if they gets divorece family will invlove to settle the matter. Most important thing in the marriage is Honesty, LOVE,affectionate to each other and compramise.In WEsteren Countries people will not compramise for any thing. That is the reason they will break each other. Now days the present the people are divorced for simple reasons.

My two cents worth:

I believe in Love Marriages and Arranged Marriages. I have seen both work - pretty well actually.

Why do we have to choose one or the other? Why not a compromise? Isn't that what a marriage is - A compromise of unconditional love for one another?

.. well I feel it last as long as the two in that relationship want it to last (or if even one of them thinks that there is one option available to end it).

So if the two think, ok here we are, now we are ONE, whatever we are has to work, we are not perfect, I am not perfect so let me know expect the other to be perfect.

Lets compromise on a, b and c... well d I really cannot compromise on, so lets talk about it and make it workable..

.. so folks, LOVE is the theme... you make it work with communicating at all times, compromising when needed, slowly build on this and you have a great marriage... Love is missing..there is no marriage... nothing in that relationship.. compromise and you will give it extra miles, communicate at all times you are in it forever..

.. so its not if its love or arranged, both will work or not work depending entirely on the two people involved.

Do people really think that marriages last because of love? That is just bull. Marriages last because the partners are too tired to look for other alternatives and have kind of gotten used to each other. Kids are just a lame excuse. Do you think kids would be happier in a place where both parents live under the same roof and constantly haggle and squabble or in a place where they live with one of them and where there is peace and quiet?
