Do intelligent women intimidate guys?

LiD.........Are u kidding?????.....Its ridiculous for a girl to get on a high horse just bcoz she knows a little more than X,Y,Z.......Strutting around and feeling smug just because you know more than the other mortals is not my idea of a very mature person.......I\'d avoid such girls myself......

No I don\'t feel exactly alike when I\'m dealing with both the genders but hey doesn\'t it depend on the people in question???????.........I could probably talk on some very bold topic to a guy and not squirm, if and only if I was absolutely sure that he is not one of those who thinks I\'m sending him veiled messages/covert signals......

Thanks for being graceful Ms. Florence Nightingale!! Unfortunately not everyone is as graceful. I fully empathize with your predicament. Poets have gone great lengths to describe how secretive and complicated women are. As a matter of fact men are equally guilty when it comes to hiding their feelings and making judgements. If a girl is careful then she is too conservative and belongs to pre-historic days, if she is friendly then she is “easy pickings”. Looks like there are no winners here :-)

LWl, you got my argument right....personally i believe should a man /girl radiate MCPism, they just lose friends, and have a ltd circle....from the lil world i saw i noticed that the ppl who were basically having a socialble attitude did infact gain a lot, afterall who really cares if Bill gates is richest n so on....we just say ...\"ok good for him \' n his company....what is in for me....
but unfortunately many men think that posing off really pays , but it does\'nt.....women i believe though more intelli/less intelligent ...enjoy a humorous company...so i just reiterate, should i meet a person(female) who is more intelligent, i will just behave normally as i am , i cannot be some thing i am not....but i will never mix up my personal n proffesional life....n i think this is a better way of life

but seriously... I think this problem arises because SOME girls who think they are pretty smart, fail to hold the interest of any guys and so think guys are intimidated by SMART women. Well, why would anyone want to be with a dumb person?? Personally, like srinu, I prefer to be friends with a smart lady anytime.

i think it has become a trend for gals to prattle about boyz.i feel that now a days ,youngsters ,especially boys are finding it difficult to participate in extra curricular activities like spending with friends and passing time simply chatting with gals.b\'coz they r now very much focused on their career than on anything else.so the above said statement sounds pretty odd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Intelligent girls, I haven\'t met them yet. I have seen girls learning things by heart. Reproduce even atomic radius values. And when u ask a logical question ...oops!! Number of girls who enter one IIT each year is 5 to 10. Number of girls who enter RECs (remove girls reservation): 5 to 10. Number of girls in BITS and medical colleges... numerous.

I think you forgot add something to it. \"io intelligent women WITH AIR intimidate guys?\". Its not the case of only guys. It applies to women too. When one is intelligent than the other and brandishing, its always intimidating.

Hey Lady With The Lamp, I would say that it\'s not only by intelligent women that people feel intimidated by, but anyone who is intelligent and difficult to handle. If the other person is clean and u are clean, too, nobody is intimated. 

Intelligence brings with it modesty within you. We feel intimidated by someone (boy or girl) who tries to act intelligent, and, of course, you are finding it difficult to manage them.

Pardon me, I beg to disagree on that. You don\'t decide whether girls are intelligent or not by looking at the number of girls entering some godforsaken REC or IIT. How many RECs did the great Ramanujan attend!!!??? That\' surely not the measuring scale, buddy!!!

Nope... I\'m in no way supporting that. I\'m just saying that you ought to come with different arguments. This one doesn\'t stand. Does anyone in here geniuinely think that a number of admissions to a particular type of college or job mean that they are intelligent?? I don\'t think so!!

a bit of yes and a bit of no... i guess it\'s quite difficult to measure \'em inproper yardsticks. but i would agree that as far as women are concerened, the heart rules the brain for sure. there may be a few exceptions, but i guess exceptions alwayz prove the rule!!

I have a feeling this discussion started by this intelligent lady with the lamp has actually meandered outside its conceived boundaries. It was a simple query from a smart girl wanting to know if her intelligence is in any way gonna limit her interaction to an extent with guys. While this may be true to an extent with most guys, I firmly believe there are guys out there who really dont care if the girl happens to be smarter. In fact I\'m one of those breed of guys who\'d love to be in interesting female company where the girl held the reins of the conversation and was being informative and enlightening about things... about presenting her views and dimensions. If there are such females out there... and I know they are.... you have a friend in me... anywhere and anytime.

First of all, I was pleasantly surprised to see one of my old topics resurface for discussion... 

Aadi - \"Intelligent and Brandishing\"... Maybe that\'s intimidating to some, but I think it just means that the person has a long way to go...

Shahji - What can I say? If you think it\'s \"seldom possible\" for a girl to be better than a guy in the knowledge dept, then you haven\'t met the girls I have...
