Hi,

This is Ramesh from nellore Dist. I completed my BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) in 2003 with 68%. from that onwards i am doing as a lecturer for degree students upto 2006. i mean i did my lecturer job from september 2003 to march 2006. From april 2006 to till now i am working as SEO (Search Engine Optimizer) in an US Company. Here my job is not related to programming. I am analyser here. But i am very much interested about programming. Because i have better knowledge on C, C++, VB and Data Structures.

Now a days every most of the companys are recruiting the employees in the basis of Java or Dot Net. I have no idea abt both. Some one told that Dot Net is a bit easy for some one, who knowned C++ and VB.

Please let me know your valuable suggestion on this issue. Which course is easy to learn, i mean in limited time. How can i get the job.

Thanks & Regards,

Rammi..

Rammi,

Nice thoughts you have in your mind that you want to do something good rathar than current job.Teaching has always been one of the best jobs as it plays a role in serving/making up one's career.

If you are interested in programming, just look deep into yourself once again. Why programming? Think of long term goals, dont just stress whether to choose java or dot net. When you know your long term goal, you can decide on these short terms very easily.

I would say if you are interested in programming, search on the web mor eabout java/dot net and find out what really suites you.Just dont go for the fat packages , your interest should match to your profile and persona. Now these things look philosphical, but are equally weighful when you thik of it in mid career and then there will be no time to look back.....thts what is life.Dont follow others...follow your passion.

My two cents.

Right, i like the way you are telling your things bluntly.

Bear in mind now on wards, that you have to earn money!! thats it.

but it has some basic rules.be honest...be ethical ...be good at work..

for these things..i have learnt in life..whatever field or whatever work you do..you need to have three things

Patience

Humility

Gratitude.

Leave apart college/school days, let them be golden memories..gear urself up towards golden career.

Unfortunately, i am not a programmer.Better you decide it yourself by consulting few good people..as few as you can...and deciding it by yourself. If you have any relations of your past programming skills with dot net or java..then just take that by thorns n let yourself b in field and start with...

Hope it will help u.

All the very best!

its gud that u want 2 switch over to progrming & regarding which want 2 choose .both of them are gud & got their own importance & nothing is easy & nothing is tough in this world .& if u wnat to be programer then aviode this dilema or confusing attitude .choose any one & start working on it with positive attitude.genrally these days DOTNET IS MORE IN DEMAND.U will have 2 put same effort in both thing.wish u all the best for ur future career bye TC
