options for a fresher from second grade engineering college

by Akshay » Wed Jun 28, 2006 10:03 am

I have a group of friends who just graduated from wazir sultan engr college, khammam, with electrical and electronics specialisation. Their percentages range from 60 to 85. After completing engr they all moved to hyderabad and are pursuing .net, c, c++ and spoken english classes. They all seem to be having a tough time finding jobs.

I know there are many job opportunities now in india but from the experience of my friends it seems the opportunities are insufficient. These poor fresh graduates are strugling really hard and I wanna help/guide them in some way. What do you guys suggest they do to brighten their prospects for jobs in hyderabad? And what other paths do they have to start their careers within and without india?

IT jobs are difficult for freshers who dont get a chance in campus placements...let them concentrate on non-IT jobs, closer to what they are qualified in.

if they have good english skills, there're always the ITES companies.

Thanks CAD, I like the idea of looking is non-IT jobs of their academic qualification. unfortunately being from rural area they may not fit the ITES (call center?) positions. And moreover I figure it will be an unpleasant career launch.

Folks, please suggest more.
