i think u shud contact other expats living here since a long time.
btw, wud FedEx ship furniture n other heavy stuff too?
CtrlAltDel wrote:ok mark...according to my cousin who is in Customs, the best way for u is to book a container and ship it by air or sea (less expensive). he says u can even send yr Bullet in the same container.
if u r still interested, in a couple of days he may give references of some of his known Cargo agents who wud take care of everything, incl the red-tape and paperwork.
once u call in any Cargo agent, he'll visit yr place, have a look at the stuff u intend to ship and give u suggestions etc.
call me if u need more info.
i'll contact him today n find out...! u better conact yr landlord abt returning the advance u paid him. make it easy for him by offering not to pay this rent for june and adjusting the amt with the total advance amt.mark wrote:aggghhh! looks like i have to fly by the end of this month. good news in a way as i'll get to enjoy the summer back home, but leaves me a bit tight for time with the shipping. any word from your cousin CAD?

There is an agent who should be able to fix packing and container / container space for you, the location is near ICFAI on Punjagutta.
Now in true Hyderabadi Style let me explain the address.
Proceed from Cofee day towards Punjagutta Circle, there is a left lane that leads towards ICFAI. The road turns into a steep clmib thats where this agent is. (Keep looking on the left)
An expert in international carriages and shipment. Check them out. If I remember the name will post again.
I still dont think its going to be a cheap affair but way less then fedex or Courier cargo companies.
Lane beside the Adidas Showroom.CtrlAltDel wrote:he's talking abt the coffee day at nagarjuna circle. ICFAI is a couple of buildings ahead, towards punjagutta
