film night

well I've managed to find a place to live. moving in there this weekend.

anyhow, I was thinking about organising a sort of a film night at my place, brought a dvd player with me, and got a reasonably sized tv over the weekend. i probably couldnt manage more than 8 people at a time, but if it's a success i'd try to run it fairly regurlarly. I've got a fair few dvd's out with me, i was thinking of starting off with the dollars trilogy. probably try to organise the first on on the weekend after deepawali.

Anyhow, if anyone's interested, or has any suggestions, please post here

but of course. we'd get hungry and thirsty otherwise. however i don't want anyone to be put off because of that, i had an all inclusive sort of night in mind (as in inclusive of all people, not all activities:)

i'd have gone through it by now anyway. anyhow, since at least some people seem to think it's a good idea, i'll let this simmer for a while, not make any solid plans yet. I was thinking maybe a weeknight might suit more people? i have nothing major coming up, pretty much anytime suits me.

ok, lets go for Saturday week, the 20th Nov. Time - 6.00ish,

place, Kondapur (pm me if your interested and i shall give exact directions).

I figure if we start early then people who want to get the last bus can make it in plenty time. Those that want to stay on late, that's also cool.

Movie to be decided, i've got the godfather trilogy, dollars trilogy, a few fincher films, a couple of kubrick, a few real oldies, a few japanese feature length anime, some horror films. or if someone would like to bring along a vcd with a good Indian movie that'd be great too. What grabs you all?

please respond here also if ya want to come and specify what sort of food you would like, i was thinking of ordering a load of bryani and pizza. There'll be beer, soft drinks and fruit juice also.

sounds like a swell idea marko, except maybe the time seems too early. i dont think travel wud be an issue with anybody coming to Kondapur...but i am assuming things here.

we still have one week to discuss and fix the time....

abt the eats n drinks, i think we can all chip in. u dont go trying to buy everything yrself...u'll go bankrupt that way...(esp with I around... :mrgreen:

). what say everyone?

Nice films.I would suggest the dollars trilogy because godfather movies are kinda slow.

Count me in too....If your player plays region 1 or region 5 DVD's, I'm a member at a video library which has a good DVD collection. Unfortunately, my player isn't configured for multiple regions. Let me know if you want any movies from there. Or else, we could visit the library together and pick up whatever's needed.
