yes they are and leaders shud have capability to influence illiterates/ignorants......

by using laptops, Naidu doesnt have the appeal among normal man, may be he has appeal in HITECh city and HYD, not in villages :D

its easier to scare the illiterates with tales of horror than convince them with plain simple facts.

Subsidies, not convincing capabilites. Give free current and free ration even a donkey can win, thats all they are concerned about, rightly so, u cant expect them to understand the economics.

subsidy is killing the govt. they shld be removed. by giving free electricity and water APs financial condition will only worsen. its the congress guys who started this trend of giving subsidies. I hope the BJP and TDP halt this trend.

yes remove it. do it slowly but steadily. like it happened in case of petroleum and gas products.

also remove all the reservations.

elections, eh??

by The Crackednut » Fri Apr 23, 2004 12:32 pm

Uhmm... OK. Since we're on the topic of elections, i'll pose this question. Suppose Fullhyd.com and its discussion board were to have elections for The Grand State of FullHyderabad. Who would be your candidates for which ministry? Let me illustrate with an example. Here's a sample election list::

Popesmokesdope - Ministry of Health and Child Welfare (for obvious reasons) :P

Jaszalcatraz - Finance Minister ('cos i can know where he stashes away all the black money in his hous)

HappyHyderabadi - Minstry of FeelGood Factor ('cos he makes us all Feel Good)

Azazel and the rest of the movie "Phreaks"- Ministry of Celluloid (ofcourse it will be a coalition with so many of them around)

and last but not the least...

The Fullhyd moderators - Ministry of Distant Education ('cos the farther they are, the better) :P

yes...to improve the economy most of the subsidies have to go gradually. what 'MOST' stands for has to be considered on a case to case basis.
there will surely be some problems initially, but long term benefits far out weigh the short term problems, except for politicians most of whom cant think beyond 5 years.

akhilis2cool wrote:also remove all the reservations.
i agree. even Ambedkar wanted it to be removed after a few years, but try telling the politicians... Reservation should be for economically backward only, but its not to be hereditary. just as long as the beneficiary improves his/her economy level.

hey... u left me out...wat abt me?

i prefer ministry of family planning and forced sterilization

*sharpens scalpel and looks around for victims*

also ministry of privatization and globalization
