Are you talking of scenic places or religious or both? Honeymoon by any chance? You\'ve got to give details, India is huge man. If you don\'t want to give details, buy a Lonely Planets guide to India and start off - any travel guide for that matter.

Hi, If u want to spend your holidays, Bombay is good place. U have Hill Stations closeby. Matheran is cosy and it is 2 hours ride. U have good hotels there and they offer good accom and rates. There is a train from Neral daily twice. This is in between Kalyan and Karjet Stns. U can go by Taxi also but u have to climb the hill by foot for about 4km. There u may have to use horses for sight seeing. Go to Maharastra tourism site and check out.
Last week I was there.

Hi! We stayed one night in Kumar Plaza there. AC room is Rs. 850/- Best time to go there is after the onset of monsoon, by the 2nd week of June.
Apart from this, u can see Mahabaleswar, Panchgani(Table top mountain some thing like Capetown\'s table mountain). And famous Khandala. Don\'t plan on week ends as Bombay crowd swamps these places. Good times Ahead.

Hi Suresh & Pavss: if both of you plan to go it will be fun as well as cheap. If you have companions it is still good. In Bombay you can go to the Gateway of India and from there boats are there to the famous Elephanta caves which are like the Ellora caves. And in the city you can go to several beaches like Juhu, Chowpathi and Marine Drive. Talk to me if you want more.

As I was telling, India has sooo manyyyy places to see. Six months ago I spent one week in Kerala. I spent 2 nights in Kovalam beach. If u r a Hindu u can visit umpeen temples there apart from Hill stations, beaches and back waters. Then we proceeded to Tirunalveli and Kanyakumari In Tamilnadu. So Short list what u want to see where u want to go then u can plan.

Well, there are lots of places to see on the way to Munnar. The waterfalls of Adirappalli, Vazhachal and some popular spots in Munnar itself. You can spend a good 3-4 days there to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I am betting my soul that you will be enchanted with Munnar. Try the resort called Sienna Village, or Mahindra Resorts!!
