Hello All..
We, the people of India have the power to change our own lives and this is the chance to do it... friends of India, On May, 2nd 2002 - the Supreme
Court of India ruled that candidates contesting
parliamentary or assembly elections must disclose: *Their criminal records(convictions,
acquittals,charges..), if any * Their assets and liabilities(including those of their spouses and dependents) * Their educational qualifications he ruling is so important that it has the potential to change the landscape of India for all the times to come. This is about us, the people our fundamental right to information! July 8, 2002 -
All the political parties unanimously rejected the SC ruling on various unworthy grounds. Now a draft bill is being circulated, which if passed as law, will nullify the entire SC ruling. This is a rare opportunity for the silent majority to make
itself heard. If we don\'t, we have no else to blame. You can make yourself heard. Please sign he petition to the Election Commissioner at:

Dear N do you think this will really workout, in our country many times commissions and enquiry sets., takes months and years, lot of expenses..finally give verdict on few papers..and those papers will be thrown in the dust bin with in a minute by these so called....SriKrishna Report is one the example...What is the use of this paper work and signatures....then ? And what is the cure of those crocodiles...who are sucking the blood of nation as a politician..Its all \'Gunda Raaj\' and nothing else, no place for fair politics., anti social elements and religious leaders are a must in today\'s politics. A very unfortunate fact is Only 5% of such dogs can dominate 95% of poor people(Indians). Need to pray and fight for the survival of our nation.

One little boy was walking along the sea shore, picking up the star fish that were left out on the sand due to strong currents and throwing it back into the sea. The old man observing him asked \" there are millions of these along the coast and when will ur effort end, the few lives u save doesnt make much difference\". the boy picked up another and said,\" well it makes a difference to this one\".......and then Mother Theresa said \" what i am doing might be a drop in the ocean, but if i am not doing it, the ocean will be ..............\"....its makes a difference, atleast to those who started this....will be able to goto bed happily thinking that someone atleast reads and supports their ideas....and remember, every journey starts with the the first step, just beacuse other journies werent successful doesnt mean that this will end in a failure......i guess my fundas are enough.........i might sound like a grandpa..........

Shahed has a point. Honestly speaking, India is already changing. It takes time, though. Compare today\'s India to that of Nehru\'s \"Five-Year Plan/UNO India\" during the 50\'s and 60\'s or Indira\'s \"Emergency/NAM India\" during late 70s or Rajiv\'s \"Peaceful/SAARC India\" during the 80\'s or even the \"BJP\'s Ram Rajya India\" during the early 90\'s . Things have changed a lot - for better, I might say. Economy has improved (imagine days in mid 90\'s when every economist in India would have said, the rupee would trade 60 to 1 against the dollar), people\'s living standards have improved (how many do you see with torn clothes in metros these days), transportation has gotten better in many parts of the country, educational accomplishments and literacy are increasing, senior citizen welfare is becoming a priority, government is slashing interest rates on savings (I hate it but I guess that is good for the economy), banks have the courage to say that defaults are not tolerated anymore, the Defense is indigenous (no more help necessary), India is respected more now than ever before in the international arena .... et cetera, et cetera. There is ground to cover though. We are just beginning to make the big stride into a free market economy. WE WILL SUCCEED. And POLITICIANS WILL EITHER CHOOSE TO LEARN OR THE ALTERNATIVE - TO PERISH.

Dear N...I posted this message after signing for the said site..I hope all these efforts will solve the purpose for that it is meant. But again changing political rules and politicians....Hmm.....Have u heard this \' Kutte Ki Dum Tedi ki Tedi\'..Believe me if they disclose their real deeds and all the stuff genuinly then the next moment 95% of them will be find in jail or in Courts pleading for mercy. Again its upto the police department how they will serve the nation by catching and punishing real cuprits not like pc panday an ugly example. You tell me onething what will be the motive of this effort..to have educated and clean politicians in politics...if it happen like that then where is the place for Politics.(Leaders,False Promises,Cheating,Religion,Anti Social Elements,Some currupt Police and Money) is equal to Politics..
