it\'s high time that reservation for girls needs to be given a thought again. is it really necessary? when they proclaim (or assume)that they are on par with men..why the hell do they need reservations..from eduaction ...buses... queues..it\'h high time that this is ended.

Reservation for girls is not a bribe or a favor thats been given to a particular section of society....women have been deprieved of equal oppurtunities and still are in some cases...unless we bring them out of the shell, the development of any country is not complete. The need for reservations cannot be ruled just by looking at the girls in some fields, i feel there is still a need for encouragement to be given to the girls. And as for the seperate queues and stuff, i think we havent still reached that stage of civilized behavior in our country where girls can safely do their work without protection...When they ask for equality its the call to people to recognise their worth and abilities that can compete with any man....and they have been proving their mettle repeatedly over years....

As per the recent census only 14.14% women and 54% men are literate ; but women constitute around 48% of total population. A country will be developed only if it\'s every citizen is educated. So though personally I am a victim of reservations , I being a patriotic person , I support reservations.

Good statistics .. what is revealed is suggestive, but what is concealed is vital.
It is true that a proper balance is required for the development of our nation .. but at what cost? I have a friend who secured 836 rank in EAMCET (medicine stream) and failed to secure a MBBS seat ( he took longterm coaching..got a worse rank due to the break and is now doing Msc (Micro biology) in a stupid college, whereas my neighbour ( caste withheld ) secured an amazing 32,000 rank and managed a seat in Gandhi Medical College for MBBS. What have you to say now?
