Should not India demand a compensation from England??? Think

by lucifer-in-disguise » Tue Sep 24, 2002 11:50 am

North Korea, china, south korea, etc have all demanded compensation from Japan, for colonizing them, and have also recieved some SUM, these countries were colonized for less than 40 years,{ China for hardly 8 years} but India which was looted for for more roughly 2 centuries,by britishers, should we not demeand any compensation from them???...Instead of thinking in these lines, we were/and still are fighting among ourselves?...OK, forget it, its just a known fact that we Indians always luv to fight among each other, but the point is can India demand a compensation from england???any thoughts around???

List out those who ruled (colonised) us and then let\'s see who is the weakest among those and we will demand the compensation to the weakest so that it pays and this sets precedent for our demands to others.

BRAVO Luci for a brilliant idea for EASY MONEY --- I wonder why India is still not accepted as a super country when we have so many super people with super ideas in our country!!!!

buddy, i feel that u probably are thinking japan was a weak country, hmm...then no yaar.....it was and is always a powerful nation, but the countries like Korea, china etc, have rallied there cause so well, that they were/n still getting a lot of money in the name of ODA from Japan......stupid we Indians, still cursing our Own Politicians and people, even after a foreigner has looted us and went back like a gentle man,.....Just think Man,even just a 1 billion dollar at the time of independence to India would have done wonders to our country.....

thanatos, hats off .....to your level of confidence, it is rather unfortunate to know ur line of thinking, so do you mean to say, that we ppl were/ are always slaves waiting for some foreign country to rule us.......no wonder why India took 200 years to get freedom.

thandos... you have not read the history or seen the movies about freedom fights i suppose, how many innocent lives were taken away, how many wifes and parents lost their husbands and children, by the brutal attack of the Britishers...what is so great about talking in English,, if they had not come, all of us would be speaking one National language Hindi... be Indian man... I fulfilled my owe when i visited england, I made an English man to carry my luggage... I made them serve coffee B/F to my room. I made them wash my clothes 4 years back, for this reason i visited England believe me... this is the samll thing i can do for our fellow Indians who lost their lives for the struggle of freedom.

hey neeraj, England has done so many positive things also.note that. secondly I got shocked to note that you have compared Tamilnadu with Bihar. Tamilnadu is the only state in in India trying to follow English at base level. with mere Hindi what will you do?

Andhra Pradesh,is also focusing more on English at the basic level... 80 pct of iit students are from AP , and the major portion of expats to usa are from AP which I am proud to delcare.. i can give you the statistics also if you require...

The best amoung the metros is A.P, which cant be compared a bit with T.Nadu my friend....hence me justifying Tamil Nadu(jayalalitha Naragam) with Bihar (laloooouuu) is 100 pct justified....

gilli thanda is also a good game , only pepsi , thums up have not seen the game played, or!!!!!!!!!!!..... there would be too many sachin I mean senthil master gilli thandus,,

hey neeraj, when national language issue came front there were strong instructions that the persons in the Hindi belt will learn one third language also ie any regional language of India.so that there will be friendly and secured feeling for all regions and languages. I am sorry nobody of Hindi belt is learning or atleast trying to learn the third regional language. there\'s no point carrying the palanquin for others while those others are not even considering you.

whats so great about playing cricket!!! well for starters it is one outdoor game which requires usage of more than 0.00099 % of your brian. well i guess u must be \'other\'wise (pun intended)..secondly a lot of moolah for india (courtesy: cricket) .... then we have around 5 billion odd indians diligently worshipping the sport, who are just fools before thy holy presence.

frankly speaking english is the simplest and the most adaptive languae around and it is a must for global communication which in turn is a must for the survival of human race....get it. b t w the japanese do play cricket and they happen to be a member of the ICC.

dear neeraj.... thanks for enlightening a lot on the british rule in india.... movies and history books must be really indespensable then!!!!! point is that i find history real boring and have always ad infinitum flunked in every history test so far i have appeared. I am as pained by your myopic congitations as I am pained about the 200 yr british rule in india. I just seem to highlight some of the better things which has been rubbed off to inida during the \'RAJ\'. wowww so u made a slave out of those foreign bastrads ... huh ,,,, like u did wonders towards human nature...what do expect for that so called \'patriotic-act\'... i think hyderabad should recommend ur name for the next padma-bhushan awards!!!!! and yes i am not comfy with communicating in hindi...that doesnt make me feel less patriotic .... and b t w there are 18 national languages in india. every comment u make ...make su feel the more ignorant.

Guys, the Western world has and will always look down upon India. For example, the Pope, when visiting the USA, offered an official apology to the \'Red\' Indians there for forceful conversion to Christianity. When he came to India and some ppl asked him to do the same in Goa, etc, he obviously refused. The West will always think Indians to be inferior to them... bah.

In what way are Indians inferior? Without Indians will the white survive? Certainly not - all the top shot doctors and scientists are our Indians, and not whites... It is not only their skin that is white, they have no grey either - only a blank white sheet in their mind. My friend, Indians can never be inferior...

India/Hindustan has always been subjected to loot/plunder - right from the ancient days (b\'cos Hindus where always considered to be soft). If we look at our past: First Arabs, Mughals, Britishers, and then Indian Politicians. Who says India is not being looted now? <br>
Remember Guys - Somnath temple (17 times by Gazni), Mysore, Vijaynagaram... If you ask me, the Britishers have done a lot of good to India rather than bad. eg:- they united India into one nation, taught us to speak English (imagine Indian IT without English!!). I agree with the fact that they have committed atrocities on Indians, but it is negligible when you compare them with Aurangazeb, Babur and other Arab rulers. I happened to visit London recently where I have seen the Thorn of Tipu Sultan, Kohinoor Diamond, the Sword of Shivaji, the last dress worn by Tipu Sultan b4 he was killed, the Golder Tiger Of Tipu, Aurangazeb\'s Throne, Unimaginable Jeweller from Vijayanagaram Kingdom. What are they doing in England? Perhaps the Indian Gov should request the British to return them rather than for an apology. Your blood will just boil if you go thru these British museums, you will learn about India\'s glorious past more in London than in India.
